Hypnosis

Just as we walk a physical path across the land, to create pathways in the mind we must tread them over and over.

Hypnosis speeds up the process of 're-programming' and embeds the new message deep within the mind

  • No-one can hypnotise you without your co-operation and consent

  • You will do nothing in hypnosis to embarrass yourself or anyone around you

  • Hypnosis is a comfortable state of deep focussed relaxation

  • After therapy you'll feel relaxed, refreshed and motivated

MOTIVATION IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WILLPOWER when it comes to changing our habits, our beliefs, our behaviours, our perceptions of ourselves.

  • Identify your ultimate desired outcome
  • Set short term achievable goals towards it
  • Use hypnosis to let go of the past and focus strongly on the way forward

IF YOU REALLY WANT SOMETHING YOU'RE MORE LIKELY TO GET IT.

Hypnosis can help with:

  • smoking - reducing or stopping
  • anxiety
  • stress reduction and stress management
  • reducing blood pressure
  • weight management
  • confidence
  • self-esteem
  • overcome negative and self-limiting beliefs (fears & phobias) which are holding you back, stopping you passing your driving test, getting on that plane or having the injections you need to travel
  • prepare for surgery and speed recovery
  • experience comfortable childbirth - see http://www.birthknowhow.co.uk

Things like fears & phobias may seem trivial and silly, to you and to outsiders, but their crippling hold is real and disabling.

Using hypnosis can change the way you feel and react in a given situation and remove the fear or anxiety, putting you back in control.

THE MIND LOVES A HABIT - loves to slip into its old routines. Habits are a natural result of regular activity - they save us from endless minor decisions from minute to minute.

UNHELPFUL (BAD) HABITS develop during life.  Some we learn as children, from parents or peer groups. Some we acquire in later life as a defence, in response to a threat, real or imagined - or as a reaction to traumatic events. Some we use to comfort ourselves when life and the people around us are less than kind. This could be habits like overeating, smoking, nail-biting, hair-pulling or simply the reluctance to move out of our comfort zone.

The mind doesn't distinguish between good or bad, helpful or damaging habits and we seldom examine or question them, until we become aware that we have a habit that's unhelpful, unhealthy and destructive. The way to change a habit is to introduce a better one and practise it.

  • MANY SMOKERS WANT TO STOP but believe they can't
  • WEIGHT LOSS can appear daunting
  • FEARS & PHOBIAS can control us
  • RAISED STRESS LEVELS can leave us exhausted and ill
